Klodian Marku, a sculptor of remarkable talent and lineage, was born into a family where artistry runs deep. His grandfather was a master stone carver, and his father continued this legacy as a skilled sculptor. Growing up in such an environment, Klodian’s path to becoming an artist was almost destined.
Klodian’s artistic journey began at a young age. Under the guidance of his father, he started carving wood sculptures, honing his skills and developing a profound understanding of the craft. His passion and talent for sculpture flourished, leading him to pursue formal education in the arts.
He studied sculpture at the University of Arts in Tirana, Albania, an institution renowned for nurturing some of the finest artists. Additionally, he attended the artistic liceum, where he initially refined his techniques and expanded his creative horizons. These formative years were pivotal in shaping Klodian’s unique artistic voice.
In 2009, Klodian and his father opened a sculpture shop in Albania. This venture, which continues to operate successfully, allowed them to showcase their artistry and offer exquisite sculptures to a wider audience. The shop became a hub for art lovers and collectors, drawn by the intricate and emotive pieces created by the father-son duo.
Seeking to broaden his artistic experiences, Klodian worked in a bronze foundry. This experience enriched his understanding of different materials and techniques, adding a new dimension to his work.
In 2020, Klodian made a significant move to New York. This transition marked a new chapter in his career, allowing him to immerse himself in the vibrant art scene of one of the world’s most dynamic cities. In New York, Klodian began focusing on custom-made designs and artworks, creating pieces tailored for both exterior and interior spaces. His work in this area has been highly sought after, known for its originality, craftsmanship, and the ability to transform spaces.
